This section is a collection of real examples as well and methodologies about:
- local best practices and EU-wide initiatives related to energy efficiency and renewable energy sources
- energy data available and ICT tools at local level to manage and integrate them
- transnational methodology on energy data collection and integration at public authority level
The first sub-section (best practices and initiatives) collects all local best practices reported by CitiEnGov partners about energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, on buildings, mobility and public lighting sectors.

The third sub-section (transnational methodology) is a description of technical specifications to be considered for implementing and sharing energy-related datasets, as well as ICT services and standards to be considered, to efficiently support the decision making process, especially about buildings, mobility and public lighting.
This sub-section has been based on the deliverable DT1.3.1 of CitiEnGov project, and it provides hints about (1) the modelling of energy data at local level, and (2) the possible types of ICT services we need to discover, view, access and process energy data.
