Introduction

Mobility and interconnected areas of transport and traffic, form a sector which has had a lot of different types of interventions and measures in different regions of CitiEnGov project.

All CitiEnGov project partners report that they have at least one positive strength when it comes to mobility sector, however, there are still number of issues that need to be addressed in order to achieve higher sustainability in mobility and these issues vary between regions and partners.

Dependance on fossil fuels, insufficient public transport and unappropriate rail transport are just some of the burning issues exposed by project partners. It is evident that mobility issues are a matter of cities, regions and even states, so it is crucial for Public Administrations to take them into account when developing energy policies.

In the long term, energy data from mobility, buildings and public lighting could be integrated in one city data network, which would enable efficient energy management.
